How we grade devices
Every device is hand-inspected and assigned a grade. We don't fudge grades to sell more — the grade tells you exactly what to expect.
Pristine — indistinguishable from new
No visible marks under normal lighting. Battery health 95% or better. Often comes with the original box and accessories.
Excellent — minor signs of light use
Tiny marks visible only under close inspection. Battery health 90%+. Screen is flawless. Functionally indistinguishable from new.
Good — visible wear, fully functional
Marks, scratches, or minor dents visible from arm's length. Battery health 85%+. Everything works perfectly. Best value for everyday use.
Fair — heavily used, best price
Obvious wear including dents, deep scratches, or screen marks (not affecting display). Battery health 75%+. Everything still works. Maximum saving.
The 40+ checkpoints
Whatever the grade, every device passes the same functional tests:
- Battery cycle count and health percentage logged to serial
- Screen response, brightness, dead-pixel scan
- All cameras (front, rear, ultra-wide, telephoto where applicable)
- Microphones, speakers, haptics
- Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular (where applicable), GPS, NFC
- Touch ID / Face ID, fingerprint readers, IR cameras
- All ports, charging, headphone jack where present
- All buttons, switches, hinges (on laptops)
- Operating system fresh install, no previous account links
If a device doesn't pass, it doesn't get listed.
